Way back on April 3, (all of these posts need to start with "way back on") spring was finally starting to spring after the longest winter ever. We in fact had more snow to come, but it was a fairly balmy day so we decided to get out. Geoff wanted to take us for a walk in one of his favorite spots down along the river on the University of Minnesota campus, right across the street from where he works.
That first outing of the spring without coats is always a wonder.
We parked in the garage and headed down and across the street to the Mississippi.
Minneapolis in the background.
This flooded-out spot was a good place to turn around anyway.
And Hazel walked quite a bit of the way. It's like having two kids and no babies.

Isn't it amazing how POSITIVE we view a cool, gray day because it is the end of winter? But such ease of going out the door without snow suits and boots and gloves and hats!
They are two big girls. I'm missing their "baby days" already. But they all grow up. They are so cute. I love when Hazel rubs her little nose and then looks at her hand to see what got all over it. And Cora was so happy and energetic. Gorgeous! Thanks.
