Memorial Day Weekend in Massachusetts

Our first visit to New England in nearly three years! Last time we were there, Hazel was a fetus!

Cora, Gaius, Althea, and Hazel, out to dinner the first evening. The cousins were instant friends, no introductions needed.

Visiting Flayvors of Cook Farm, a dairy farm fronted by a roadside ice cream stand.
Home of "Hadley Grass" ice cream, which is asparagus ice cream.
I had maple walnut, Cora had chocolate brownie, Hazel had s'more, and Geoff had ginger.

Tables to eat at, back by the animals.

Off to see the animals. A cow licked Hazel's hair. When we got back to South Carolina and anyone would casually ask me about our trip, Hazel would burst out, "A cow yick my hair!" Not what they were expecting to hear.

Pigs and chickens, too.

On Friday the Riley family arrived (Geoff's sister and crew). We went for a walk across Winsor Dam at the Quabbin Resevoir.

Aiden, Gaius, Cora, Delaney, and Hazel. Althea was home napping.

Hanging out at the house. Squirt guns, bubbles, general happy chaos.

The only picture I got of all six kids together, but it was beyond great to see the six of them playing together all weekend.

Everyone stayed the night, and four of the oldest kids slept in Gaius's room. They eventually went to sleep.

Watching Star Wars the next day.

Running through the sprinkler.

Followed by popsicles.
"It cold. It hurting my pinger."
One of the wild foxes living under the shed out back.

On our final day, a quick trip to the Peace Pagoda.

Followed by a little bit of walking around Amherst, and lunch before heading for the airport.

Wearing Uncle Brad's hat and glasses.
Three years between visits is too long! We'll do better next time.
