The blog title comes from something one of Geoff's colleagues said. A few weeks after his boy was born everyone noted he was looking a bit tired one day. They made some comment to the effect of "Ben, I think this new baby is running you ragged." And he replied, "Well you know . . . they are here to replace us." It seemed as plausable an explanation as any.
The baby overlords part is from a Simpsons quote. Simpsons quotes are the lingua franca of our household.
