Apple Haus

We love autumn. We hope to include apple-picking in future autumns, but knew we probably weren't going to be doing that this year, so a few weeks ago we decided to make a visit to the Apple Haus to satisfy all of our apple-flavored cravings this year. It's located in overly adorable Long Grove, so we enjoyed an afternoon of walking around looking at all the little shops and such, too.

Cora standing near some antique apple presses enjoying her cider:

We got some treats to bring home (apple butter, apple-cranberry bread) and some to enjoy right away (the best apple cider doughnuts we've had in a while):

Cora and I at the covered bridge. Twenty-eight weeks pregnant here. This would be a better photo spot if they'd move their "weight limit 3 tons" sign! Sheesh! It was a nice way to spend a fall day.

It looks as though you had a nice day for your visit. Cora is adorable in her own right.

Don't take that weight limit sign personal. It's for vehicular traffic. Considering the wealth of Long Grove, an armored luxury vehicle could easily exceed that limit. LOL
