She is big enough to help with unwrapping presents now. Also, when we got everything home and were taking it out of the boxes, she said "Wow!" about a dozen times.

Age two comes with some inherent difficulties and Cora's no exception, but mostly right now she is a real joy. As her language skills explode we get to hear what's in her head, she's affectionate and kind, and fun and sweet-natured. Geoff and I were noting how over the past year she's kind of developed from our baby who's practically an extension of ourselves to instead being a third person who lives in our house with us, with her own agenda and ideas and personality to bring to the table. She'll saunter into the room and cheerfully engage us with a "Hi, Dad! Whachu doin'?"
She has a big year ahead of her. Her time as an only child is about to abruptly and permanently come to an end. And a few months after that she'll be moving away from the only home she's known. We trust that she will weather the storms, but what we know right now is that at two, she is a girl we're glad is ours.

Cora is a person I want to know, as are her parents. Your apt description, "... affectionate and kind, and fun and sweet-natured" applies to all three of you. You have always loved children.
In fact that applies to all three of my children, their spouses and children. I'm very proud of the people you all are. It's a privilege to call you family.
