Cora stayed with her Grandma and Grandpa for the two days we were in the hospital. Despite it being her first overnight away from home and the first time she'd been away from me for more than a couple of hours, she apparently had a grand old time. Every time we called to check on her, her happy babbling and proclamations in the background confirmed it.
Geoff and Hazel and I got home first, and Mom and Dad arrived with Cora a couple hours later. Hazel was sleeping in her bassinet, and we made a big deal of greeting Cora at the door and giving her hugs and kisses. She, understandably, was a little weirded out by the whole situation. After she settled in for a couple minutes we told her we had something to show her.
The start of probably a lifelong relationship. They always say you'll know your siblings longer than you'll know your parents or your spouse. We hope they are an asset to each other, and of course we hope they'll love each other.
