And She Went to Sleep Still Smelling Sweetly of Frosting

To celebrate Cora's first birthday on Sunday, we gathered the family at Grandma and Grandpa's. Grandma made lasagna, we opened some lovely presents--a good time was had by all.

A moment with Aunt Tricia.
You'll be up next, Cousin Logan.
Checking out Uncle Kyle's iPhone. By the time Cora's old enough to look at these photos, an iPhone will seem hopelessly quaint.

Uncle Drew shows her pictures of herself.

A caterpillar cake for our Corapillar!

"Everyone sang to me!"

Smashcake! Nom nom nom nom . . .

Sticky!

We certainly don't purposely dress the girls alike, and yet they've repeatedly shown up at their Grandma and Grandpa's in similar outfits!

Here Grandpa enjoys some time with his two youngest grandchildren. Cora finds Logan's pacifier fascinating and foreign. After removing it and plugging it back into Logan, she tried to give Grandpa a turn with it, but he was laughing too hard to take it.
More party coverage here.

Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate Cora's first year in style!

What a party!
Gosh but it was fun Cora. People will be talking for years! I'm sure you will come to believe that YOU remeber it.
You are so lucky to have a good Mom and Dad who obviously love you so much.
Maybe for your next birthday you can have chocolate milk.
I had such a good time. Thanks for the pictures and post. You are a talented Mom.

Hi Julieanna!

Ian shared a birthday with Cora on Sunday. What fun!

It's difficult to believe that they are already one year old. I've enjoyed watching Cora grow on your blog ever since Jenny sent me the link. Ian's now almost 27 pounds and 31 inches long! No walking yet, but lots of cruising around and getting in to everything!

I was tickled to see that Cora had a caterpillar cake. Ian had one too! What a coincidence for our little (BIG) ones to have the same b-day cake design on the same birthday!

Best to you all,

Kim and Kurt
