And a wonderful Christmas it was. This year we went to Tricia and Drew's place for Christmas Eve festivities and good cheer. It was a warm and convivial time, as always.

Christmas morning the three of us got up, opened presents and had our now-traditional eggnog french toast and cranberry apple compote for breakfast.

Cora wore the Christmas jammies that her cousin Alex got her.

Then we packed up and headed up to my folks' house (arriving later than intended). Cora sat in a bouncy seat and enjoyed more present-opening, cooing and charming throughout.
Note she's already on her emergency backup outfit, here, her red Christmas outfit having become a casualty of bodily fluids almost immediately afer we arrived:

Here I'm telling her about her new stroller:

Then her aunts and uncles and cousins showed her how to play with her great new toys. Aunt Tricia showing her her Elmo puppet:

And after a terrific Christmas dinner and some pie, one tiny mood began to deteriorate, so we decided we'd better head for home while the gettin' was still good.
All in all, it was a terrific first Christmas as parents.

And apparently for the baby as well.

This is what I needed, CRAVED!!
She is such a charmer, starting to interact and be expressive. She has me hooked.
The two of you are going to have so much fun with her.
Yeah, thanks for the post. It's been a very long time since we've had a Cora fix.
Love the pictures!
Next Monday Ashley's pitching practice resumes. Can we make an appointment to see the princess? If you two want to do stuff on Monday nights, go for it. Let me know.
Happy New Year!
