Of course we love the library and are regulars there!
We're in the age of picture books, and they're a unique kind of joy, with their interplay of the lavish artwork and the shrewdly chosen words. I was sorry to read that children are moving on to chapter books at younger and younger ages these days. (On the other hand, chapter books are a unique kind of joy themselves.) We'll savor this era while we've still got it.
At this library the book return is a fancy motion-activated conveyor belt that carries your books into the back room. As you can imagine, getting to feed the books in there is a highlight of any visit.
*These pictures are actually from two different visits, but by complete coincidence Cora happened to be wearing the same shirt both days.

Someone is talking up a storm! What are we missing? Only everything! Stop that girl! Don't let her grow-up anymore until we get there.
Cora is a doll!I think she has that belt almost figured out.
Give them hugs from Grandpa and tell them Grandpa loves them.
Oh! Grandma too.
